It’s Summer!

As we begin our summer shopping, it becomes apparent how much we care about sizes.

Many of us have put on a few extra pounds over the winter. Let’s face it, we’re not exactly where we had planned to be at this point.

Whatever our body types and weights are, though, it’s important that we stay confident. When it comes down to it, we are all different sizes no matter what our weight is.

Online Shopping

I find it extremely difficult to shop online. I am ALWAYS in between sizes. No matter how much you study that size chart, you may still end up with clothes that don’t flatter you.

I’ve spent so much time reading reviews to figure out which sizes I should order. That’s when I realize that our bodies are all unique. It’s just not possible to fit every woman into the 4 or 5 sizes that are usually available to us.

Every small, medium, or large is even different from the next. So, not only are our bodies unique, we may be a different size depending on where we’re shopping. A medium at one store could be a large somewhere else. We have to keep this in mind. Size does not always mean much.

Comfort = Confidence

It’s always been important to me to feel comfortable in what I’m wearing. If I buy something that doesn’t fit, I won’t feel good in it. It’s not worth it just to say we’re a “small.” If we’re uncomfortable, it will show. When we don’t feel our best, we most definitely won’t look our best.

Summer brings swimsuit season, which always tests my confidence. We all have flaws and insecurities. I’m inspired to see more and more women owning who they are and teaching us to be confident in our own skin.

So, let’s wear what we feel good in this summer. Instead of focusing on what size we WANT to be or WISH we were, we really need to focus on finding what makes us feel comfortable and confident. Only then will we be able to let loose, have a good time, and be happy!
