Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner – Best Product for Thick, Curly Hair (Review)

Mixed Chicks has changed my life.

I have thick, curly, frizzy hair. It’s been very difficult to maintain and keep healthy, let alone style to make it look nice! One day my boyfriend’s mom told me about Mixed Chicks.

To be honest, I was VERY hesitant at first. I saw that it can be quite pricey for a 10 ounce bottle of leave-in conditioner. It’s difficult to spend money on a product that you’re not even sure will help. Especially when you’ve tried so many products over the years.

But the cost of those other gels, mousse, conditioners, oils, lotions, etc. adds up. And I didn’t even really have a good enough reason to try those in the first place. All they ever did was either make my hair feel hard, sticky, heavy, or worse – damaged my hair even when I wasn’t trying to straighten it. I figured it made sense to finally spend the money on something that was not only made for girls like me (mixed), but was also personally recommended to me. So, I bought it.

I have never felt so good about my hair.

I used to use 3-5 products on my hair almost every day. Now, I can finally use shampoo and this Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner. It has conditioned my hair to keep it healthy. It keeps my hair styled without weighing it down, hardening it, causing build-up, or damaging it.

My hair was CONSTANTLY frizzy, especially on the top of my head. I had never before been able to figure out how to properly fix it.

I’ve been using it for about 2 years now, and my hair just feels and looks healthier and healthier. My curls are more defined, WAY less frizzy (even at the beach!), and split-ends are pretty much non-existent, even though I only get my hair cut or trimmed about 2-3 times a year.

The best part is that the small bottle lasts me 2-4 months. Mixed Chicks is so great that you only need to apply a little bit to wet hair for it to dry perfectly un-frizzed. So, even though it’s pricier than some of your other styling products, you don’t have to spend that amount every week, every other week, or even every month.

Mixed Chicks is for anyone with frizzy hair.

The container says it is for people of all ethnicities and hair types, but the thinner your hair is, the less product you need. My mom has thinner, wavy, sometimes-frizzy hair, and the leave-in conditioner can be a little bit heavy for her. I think this product is BEST for those of us with thick, frizzy, curly hair. But I’d still recommend it to anyone having problems with frizzy or hard-to-tame hair.

So, go out and try this product TODAY and let me know what you think! If you have any other recommendations for girls with hair like mine, please let me know! It’s taken me years to appreciate my hair and I’m still learning things about it all the time. Any new information can only help!

To Summarize:

It’s THE BEST.

This is the only product I have tried that has kept my thick, frizzy, curly hair more manageable, frizz-free, and healthy.

There is ONLY ONE drawback.

It’s a little pricier than your typical drug store conditioner or leave-in treatment. But Mixed Chicks is NOT your typical hair product! Plus, the amount you need to use is so minimal that it lasts 10 times longer than any of my other styling products did.

How it can CHANGE YOUR LIFE:

  • Saves you from stress and anxiety – no more fighting with your hair.
  • Saves you time in the mornings – no more skipping breakfast.
  • Gives you a million times more confidence.
  • Allows you to go on more adventures – don’t worry about rain, wind, snow, pools, beaches, etc.
  • Allows you to experiment with new hair styles for work, dates, girls’ night out, etc.
  • Last, but not least… makes you happier!

Can’t wait to hear how you like it! And don’t miss out on my recommendation for the best sun protection for your face!
